People from the next block and around the world fall for Roast. We discovered this when our first customers started leaving personalized handwritten notes at the bar. Since opening in 2013, Wayne has saved every single hand-drawn doodle, poem, rave, rant, and barista love note.

We named our beloved post-it pit the Visitor’s Booth at Roast.

Post-its don’t lie. Our shop is a second home, safe haven - and happy place for lots of reasons.

Monthly specials are a big thing at Roast. Our baristas thrive on the challenge of creating new and fresh combinations highlighting seasonal roasts and syrups we make from scratch.

‘Drink up’ is what we call Roast’s unique blend of award-winning, ethically farmed, minimally processed green beans. They’re meticulously roasted, brewed with triple-filtered water, and prepared for you by expertly trained baristas who believe they’re setting the tone for your entire day.

Enjoy your cup in our naturally lit cafe, on the wide-open veranda, or take it on the road and elevate your morning situation.

You know what hasn’t changed since ‘everything changed’? There will always be a place for you and your dog in our spacious covered outdoor café, and Virginia Beach weather is pleasant at least nine months of the year.
